It wasn't actually until the first Human landing that Minkans had ever heard of Blimps before. When relations were set between the local Minkan people and the Human landees, textbooks of Human Society information were provided to the Minkans. Many were amazed by blimps. Unfortunately, a rogue group of Earth settlers that were discovered to have illegally boarded the first landing crew, weaponized a vulnerable Minkan tribe. This tribe was very isolated and in the grips of famine. When this rogue traveling group came to the desperate tribe, they had the Minkans start making war blimps.
